Choosing the Right Wedding Dress for the Location
Many brides today are choosing different locations for their weddings rather than the typical choices. Rather than being married in a church they are choosing beach weddings, outdoor weddings and various other locations. The time of year will also have an impact on the dress you choose.
Beach Weddings
If you have your heart set on a beach wedding, you will want to choose a dress that will fit this theme. The dress should be more casual than formal and one that is perfect for the weather. The middle of summer calls for more of a lightweight fabric. Many designers are creating gowns with this in mind.
The typical wedding dress for a beach wedding should be a dress with simple lines and can be any color you choose. The accessories can be coordinated to match. This is definitely not the setting for a formal wedding gown with a long train.
Outdoor Weddings
Some brides are choosing outdoor weddings such as a park or by a lake. The summer lends all kinds of ideas for outdoor weddings. This is another time when you should ensure the dress you are wearing will fit the location. Does the park have sidewalks for the bride to walk on so she will not have the bottom of the dress gathering the grass and leaves on the ground?
The area will have to be flat enough for an aisle runner if you have chosen a long dress. Another consideration when choosing the dress for an outdoor wedding is how well it fits. If you choose a gown that is designed to stand out from the body, the wind may not cooperate with your choice. You may find yourself just trying to stand up straight even with a light breeze.
A Wedding on the Water
Should you decide on a wedding aboard a yacht, this will be another time when the type of wedding dress you choose needs to be the right one. This is an option that many couples are choosing as they try to find something unique for their wedding. The dress will need to be a lighter fabric than the typical indoor wedding dress.
Since a yacht wedding will be in the season when it is warm you will want to be comfortable. Choosing a dress that fits well will keep it from being blown around during the ceremony. There is usually always a breeze on the water and you do not want to end up looking bedraggled for your ceremony.
Fabric that is too heavy will make you look uncomfortable and hot, a lot of fabric on a wedding dress will be blowing everywhere during the ceremony and long trains and veils will definitely be more of a nuisance than a great look.
The choice of colors will be entirely a matter of what you decide you would like for your yacht wedding. Many people decide to choose something besides white. The soft pastel colors that are available today are great for a yacht wedding. In addition, consider the length. It can be a long gown or it can be more of a tea length. Either one should have simple lines rather than a lot of material that will be in the way.

Sensational! Picture is dazzling. That is an outstanding place. I will abruptly go there.
